-This last scene was a big surprise for me because it really didn't have an ending. Luis Valdez left it up us to choose the ending of the play, which left me thinking.
-Quote(page 91):
(a). SMILEY: Let's face it, Hank there's no future for us in this town.
(b). Smiley suggests Henry to leave town because he won't be left alone there.
(c). I believe that this quote is said so that the audience could have an idea of what the ending would be like.
-If it up to Luis to have an actual ending to the play what would it be?

Scene 8_The Winning of the War.
-This scene was not very interesting, it just had important dates. I didn't really like it.
-Quote on page 87:
(a). PEOPLE: FREEDOM!!!
(b). The people are speaking to the audience.
(c). This quote explains how the people what to be free of war and violence.
-Question:
What do they mean when the press says:(page 87)"...boys in pachuco murder given.."?

Scene 7_Alice.
-I liked this scene the best so far because it was exciting. I never thought Alice and Henry were going to end up together. I always thought Henry thought of Alice as being a liar.
-My Quote (page 85):
(a). GUARD: We're letting you go...you really didn't expect to walk out of here a free man, did you?
(b). The guard was talking to Henry.
(c). The guard is letting Henry know that the case will not be easy to win(as said later on in the scene).
-Question:
Why didn't Henry tell Alice about the ninety days in solitary?

Scene 6_Zoot Suit Riots
-This scene confused me! The whole argument between the press and the pachuco was a headache!
-My Quote for this scene(page 80):
(a). PRESS: What's wrong with that? The Zoot Suit Crime Wave is even beginning to push the war off the front page.
(b). This is said by the press to el pachuco while the were arguing.
(c). I think that this quote is important in this scene because the press tells el pachuco how the the zoot suit crimes are huge, bigger than the war that's going on.
-My question for this scene is
Why is the pachuco and the press arguing?

Scene 5_Solitatary.
-Scene 5 was very interesting because el pachuco was being so negative to Henry while Henry was convinced he still had a chance in getting out.
-The quote I choose for this scene is on page 78.
(a). Pachuco: Orale Pues!
Don't take the pinche play so seriously, Jesus!
(b). Pachuco had been telling Henry he had no chance in getting out of jail and that the appeal would be lost no matter what.
(c). I believe that this scene is not very important. They included this scene in the play so that the audience could get excited and surprised in Henry's reaction towards the appeal(the hope he had of winning).
-My question is,
Why all of a sudden Henry changes his mind about winning? What made him think he can actually win?
